Frequently asked questions

Is salt therapy safe?

Salt therapy is safe and drug-free, providing effective long-term relief and can be used along side prescribed medication as a complementary treatment.

What happens during a session?

Sit back and relax in one of our comfy loungers, the ceiling lights will switch off as negatively ionised dry sodium aerosol of 0-5 microns are released into the room by a halogenerator. The brightness of the wall lights will be slightly reduced to create a serene and tranquil ambience. However, there will be enough light to read so please feel free to bring along your favourite book.

What do you wear?

No special clothing is required, however, we suggest you wear clothes that you don't mind getting salt on as the particles are like dust but will brush and wash off. T-shirt and shorts are recommended for eczema and psoriasis sufferers as the skin will benefit from being exposed to the salt. On arrival shoe covers and hairnets will be provided to wear during a session to ensure that our rooms stay clean and hygienic.

Can I bring my phone or other electrical devices into the room?

We do not recommend the use of any electrical device during a session as the salt can harm your device. Relaxation is part of salt therapy and in order to fully benefit and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the salt room all electronic devices should be stored in the lockers provided.

What is the youngest age a child can attend salt therapy?

Babies can attend from as young as 6 months.

Can I have salt therapy if I am pregnant?

Salt therapy is recommended for pregnant women, but please consult your doctor if you are experiencing a complicated pregnancy or taking medication during your pregnancy before starting salt therapy treatment.

Can I continue to use my medication with salt therapy?

Yes. Salt therapy should only be used as a complementary treatment. Please follow your doctor's advice and do not stop your medication regime without first consulting them.

How can I book a salt therapy session?

You can book in two ways: call us on 01908 766588 or use our online booking form to request a booking and we will get back to you to confirm.

As appointments are booked manually, for next day sessions please call the office as email requests can take longer to process.

First session is free?

The first session is free for all new customers with no obligation to buy further sessions and is a full hour treatment.

How long does a session last?

How many people can be in one session?

We have 8 loungers in our adult treatment room, however, on the rare occassion another chair may be added.

The children room can seat up to 6 children and 4 adults.

Are adult and child prices the same?

For larger families the full price applies for the first child and a 50 percent discount is avialable on the full price session or package for each of the siblings. A second adult will only be allowed to accompany depending on availability as priority will be given to families with a child needing a session.

What is the refund policy on packages?
